Signature Making - Paint.NET
First thing's first, download Paint.NET.
(Get it here http://www.paint.net/ )
Open it up, go to File in the top-left hand corner. Click "New".
Now, a window like this should pop up.
If it isn't green, don't worry, that's just my set colour of my computer.
Now, for this guide I will be using the dimensions here.
Width - 375
Height - 150
Now, to start off, get a background. Depending on what you want you can get it.
Since I'm using Gastrodon for this guide I will be using blue.
Go to Google Images, and search [insert colour here] abstract.
(You can also go to a site with Abtracts and search it there.)
Find one you like and paste it into Paint.NET.
IMPORTANT: When it asks you, click Keep Canvas Size.
This is mine so far.
Now, time to add your render. If you're making a Pokemon signature (or banner) I suggest going to Bulbapedia for the images.
Anything else, just search for it on Google.
Before you copypaste it, make a new layer and paste it there.
Find a good spot for it, though.
As of this step, here is mine.
Now for making it more detailed.
You can add text by clicking the box with a T in it on the toolbox.
You can also download fonts that fit the signature, I use http://www.dafont.com/
Now, add the text on a NEW layer.
Again, mine at this point.
Now, to upgrade the background.
Make a new layer, make sure it is under the text and render.
Now, get a C4D. You can download a C4D pack from places like Deviantart, or just search C4D in Google images.
Copy it, paste it onto the new layer.
Then, click the pencil on paper on the bottom-righthand corner of the layer window.
Where it says Normal on a drop down, select Overlay.
You can add multiple.(Each on a new layer)
If one of them is too exposed you can lower the opacity on the same page that you change the layer type. (To overlay)
Mine at this point:
Now the last step.
Make a new layer, select and fill the top and bottom of the signature with a colour of choice. (I suggest Black)
Then, lower the opacity.
Now, this part is optional, if you want you can make the layer that the text is on overlay. This is completely optional.
If you do the optional part above, if the text isn't visible enough then duplicate the text layer.
My finished version(s)
